This is an oil pastel painting of some garden irises, two are blossoming, two are buds. Iris flowers come in a wide variety of colors and this one with blue and pink blossoms is unusual.

My name is Karla Beatty. I am a painter and an illustrator for books, magazines, and the internet. My work covers a wide range of topics: landscapes, portraits, gardens, botanicals, travel, urban sketching, and more.
