This is a watercolor painting called “Garden Fresh Flowers.” The style is a botanical landscape watercolor of garden flowers planted around and near the base of a small tree. The painting is a scene from a book that I illustrated called NonStop Garden. All the flowers in this scene do well in a damp, or watery area of a garden. There is always beauty to be found in fresh flowers.

My name is Karla Beatty. I am a painter and an illustrator for books, magazines, and the internet. My work covers a wide range of topics: landscapes, portraits, gardens, botanicals, travel, urban sketching, and more. Most of my work is in oils, acrylics, watercolors, graphite, carbon dust, and digital images. Much of my art is connected to travel adventures and experiences.
