Description
This is a vintage map of old Europe with vintage photos of the S. S. Amsterdam and a group of arriving immigrants. The map is old, pre-1800, and the photos are from late 1800s-early1900s. I really like the colorful state divisions on the map and the outdated spellings of place names. The photo of the people immigrating to America shows women and children sitting on deck, probably just getting some air for a short time before returning below deck. All the crossings were very hard on people at the steerage level where most immigrants traveled.
