This is a botanical landscape watercolor of garden flowers under the dark side of the trees. The scene is a painting from a book that I illustrated called NonStop Garden. All the flowers in this scene do well in the shade. There is beauty, even on the dark side.
My name is Karla Beatty. I am a painter and an illustrator for books, magazines, and the internet. My work covers a wide range of topics: landscapes, portraits, gardens, botanicals, travel, urban sketching, and more.
