This is an oil painting called “Flatirons in the Rockies.”
The Flatirons are a section of the Rocky Mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado. I have hiked there many times because it is stunningly beautiful. It is a popular location for rock climbing and you can often see athletes hanging onto the bluffs. This fine oil painting is done in a unique palette knife style.
