This is an oil painting of a beach scene. A young woman lifeguard is pulling in one of the rowboats along the shore. It's a misty, stormy day full of muted light and shadows. This seascape has a lot of color and texture on the beach and shore.
My name is Karla Beatty. I am a painter and an illustrator for books, magazines, and the internet. My work covers a wide range of topics: landscapes, portraits, gardens, botanicals, travel, urban sketching, and more.
